Van Catches Fire and Artesia Man Dies

Though I speak a lot about how to protect yourself in case of an accident and how to get in touch with a personal injury lawyer (hint: fill out the form on the right), I most prefer prevention.

In a news story I just found it seems the car just caught on fire with no rhyme or reason. I'm guessing a checkup was in order for the car. Sadly it was too late for this driver since he was pronounced dead at the scene.

I ask that if you haven't checked your car in over a year that you go do that as soon as possible. Preparation and precautions are the name of the game.

Drinking and Driving: Orange County Bicycle Accident

We all have heard that drinking and driving kills... yet, many people
just lack integrity when it comes to sitting behind the steering wheel.
In Orange County recently a car accident occurred and immediately after one of the cars lost control and hit a bike rider along the bike path...

Can you imagine the recklessness needed to get into a bike and car accident within a five minute span. Apparently the two vehicles were racing on the road...

It amazes me every time I read about personal injury cases, because it seems with a reasonable amount of awareness they could be prevented. In either case this accident occurred while a school bus was making a left turn at an intersection. Two children were crossing the street and a 10 year old girl was hit by the bus.

For the past few blog posts, you probably noticed my interest in product liability cases. Today I'd like to talk about Goodyear tires. Over the past 2 decades these tires have been in some back and forth battles about product liability. In my post about product liability insurance I mentioned how different business categories are at different degrees of risk when it comes to their products and need a policy reflecting that degree of exposure.

GlaxoSmithKline class action lawsuit : Response on Puerto Rico Plant

Submitted by Lawson on Sat, 01/22/2011 - 14:45

Drug production seems like a messy business. The GlaxoSmithKline class action lawsuit regarding unclean and unregulated activities in the Puerto Rico plant have me concerned since I doubt the majority of people look into this kind of stuff before purchasing their over the counter drugs or even getting prescriptions. There is a type of innocent faith in the drug companies that they will have our own best interest at heart.

Benefit of Insurance: Product Liability Insurance

Product liability is an interesting subject since it exposes manufacturers and retailers to a certain amount of risk in a situation where the consumer is mostly consuming the product. Whether this is an automobile, a toaster, a baby crib, or any other item that can be manufactured; often there are certain risks associated with being within certain business categories.
